BOOST creates a separate, dedicated wireless network for use by Sonos streaming devices, so you can enjoy all your music all over your home without interruption. By creating its own network, BOOST eliminates interference from other wireless devices on your existing Wi-Fi® network.

Use BOOST when:

• Your Wi‑Fi is slow or tempermental, or when your network is already in high demand with streaming vdieo, gaming, and Internet usage.
• Wi‑Fi doesn't reach all the rooms where you want to use Sonos. Extend the range of your Sonos system by placing a BOOST between the Sonos speaker that's out of reach and the rest of your Sonos system.
• Your network is 5 GHz only (not switchable to 2.4 GHz).
• Your router supports only 802.11n (and settings can't be changed to support 802.11 b/g/n).
